Hello Scholars, Today we will meet on zoom at 9:30 a.m.  We will  talk about remaining issues connected to the Op-Ed Assignment. Then we will start talking about the Student’s Choice Assignment. I’m hoping that this assignment will allow you some freedom to pursue a personal interest either in subject, genre, or both. Please come to class prepared to talk about your proposal, and about what makes a good example of your chosen genre. See you in class!

Hello Scholars, Please continue working on your Op-Ed Essays. I’ve asked you to submit a First Draft or Free Write in the Op Ed Free Write section in Blackboard, and Annotated Bibliographies for two sources in the Annotated Bibliography section in Blackboard. The current due dates are 10/12, but since we don’t have class on that day, I will adjust the due dates to Wednesday 10/14 at 9 a.m. Our Zoom Classroom will be open today between 9:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. for optional drop-in sessions. Please remember you can always schedule meetings with me at other times, and you can always email me at ybrener@ccny.cuny.edu, or text me for short answers …
